My birthday is March 12th, 1936.

I married Bobbie Richards in Birmingham, AL, and we've been married since 1956.

Our children are Karen and Kristi.

I am an Adjunct Professor at Atlanta Christian College.

In the past, I worked as a professor at Georgia Southern University, and as a Specialist, Music Ministries, for the Georgia Baptist Convention.

I graduated from Samford University, BME; Baylor University, M.M.; and the University of Iowa, Ph.D.

In my leisure time, I spend time with our grandchildren, and enjoy woodworking, gardening, reading, and travel.

I was born and raised in York, AL.

I have two younger brothers.

I've lived in Alabama, Texas, Iowa, and Georgia.

Interesting places I've visited include New York; Boston; Chicago; Dallas; San Diego; Washington, DC; Yosemite; Yellowstone; the Grand Canyon; Toronto; the Great Lakes; Vermont; New Hampshire; Maine; Panama City, Florida; Disneyland; Panama, Central America; Costa Rica; Alaska; and several cities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Russia.  I'd like to see Italy, France, Spain, The Netherlands, Israel, and Greece.

I'm an Atlanta import, and moved here to assume a position with the Georgia Baptist Convention.  I've been in Georgia since 1967, and have lived in Atlanta since 1987.  If I were to move from Atlanta, I would relocate nearer to children and grandchildren.

I accepted Christ in 1946 in York, AL.

My favorite styles of music are classical and jazz.

My favorite TV fare includes the news, 60 Minutes, Andy Griffith reruns, and sports (college football and the Braves).

I was 16 years old when I first got involved in church music.

My voicepart is Bass.

My favorite Baptist hymnal (choosing from 1956, 1975 & 1991) is 1991.

My favorite hymns are Immortal, Invisible and Great Is Thy Faithfulness.
