My birthday is June 23rd.
I'm married to Cheryl. We met at a Civitan convention in Birmingham, AL. We were married in 2003. My daughter, Laura Thomas, was born in 1968. I am retired from Georgia Power, and have my own sales agency now. In the past, I have worked with Home Depot and I continue to be involved with Civitan International, as I have been for 30 years. I graduated from Young Harris College, A.A., and Auburn University, BIM. Leisure time: Tennis, hunting, fishing, golf, camping I was born in Atlanta, and grew up in Hogansville and Newnan, GA. I have three younger sisters. I've lived in Georgia all my life except for one year in Panama City Beach, FL. Interesting places I've visited include Buenos Aires, Argentina; Cali, Colombia; San Jose, Costa Rica; Sidney, Australia; Singapore; Tokyo, Japan; San Diego; Caracas, Venezuela; Calgary and Banff, Alberta; Vancouver, British Columbia; Montreal, Quebec; Amsterdam, Holland (The Netherlands); Big Sky, Montana; Colorado; Paris, France; Mexico City and Cancun, Mexico; Ottawa, Ontario; Munich, Germany; Rome, Naples and Sorento, Italy; Geneva, Switzerland; The Bahamas; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Auckland, New Zealand; Oahu, Hawaii; the French Alps; Key West, Florida; Montego Bay, Jamaica; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Iguazu Falls (border of Brazil and Argentina); and Aruba. Places I'd like to see include Tahiti, London, Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Hong Kong, Israel, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Alaska. If I was to move, it would be to Montana or Panama City Beach.
Dad had a Heating/AC and Electrical business. Mom was an Insurance Specialist and Homemaker. I accepted Christ at Camp Pinnacle in Clayton, GA. Memorable events: I have had many. My favorite music artists are Ricky Nelson, Frank Sinatra, the Ray Conniff Singers and orchestra, and Barry Manilow.
My favorite actor is Kirk Douglas, and my favorite actress is Britney Spears (that's a joke. Ha). I just got a "Garfield" cat. My age when I was new to church music: 64 I should pick up my piano lessons again. My voicepart is Bass. My favorite Baptist hymnal (choosing from 1956, 1975 & 1991) is 1956. My favorite hymn is What a Friend We Have in Jesus. |
