My birthday is October 19th, 1955.
I'm married to Terry. We were married in 2003. We met at a Civitan convention. Children: None, but I do have a step-daughter, Laura. I am a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser with Carr, Lawson, Cantrell & Associates, Inc. In the past, I worked as a banker, VP of Lending at Regions Bank; as an Insurance Salesperson; and in Retail Management. I graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, TN with a degree in English Education. In my leisure time, I play tennis, hike, read, and visit with family and friends. I was born and raised in Dalton, GA. I have three older sisters. I've lived in Georgia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Interesting places I've visited include Italy; Germany; Big Sky and Yellowstone, Montana. Places I'd like to see include Scotland, Ireland, Las Vegas, California, and New York City!
I'm an Atlanta import, and moved here as a result of meeting my wonderful husband, Terry. I've lived in Georgia, off and on for 40+ years, and have been in metro Atlanta since 2003. If I ever move, it may be to Florida. Dad is still an accountant, and Mom was the best cook in north Georgia. I was raised in a Christian home, was baptized at age 12, but I formally made that change of life decision at age 17-18 at a revival at a neighboring Methodist church in Dawnville, GA. Memorable events include my wedding day to Terry, my 16th birthday getting to go to the new Disney World in Orlando their opening year, and my college graduation. My favorite music artists: I don't really have a favorite, I just love music! My favorite movies and TV shows are Gone With the Wind; The Color Purple; 24; House and anything on HGTV.
I have one kitty. I was 17 years old when I first got involved in church music. I'd like to learn to play the piano. My voicepart is Alto. My favorite hymns are The Old Rugged Cross, In the Garden, and Blessed Assurance. Miscellaneous: I love being in the choir. I love my husband sharing this with me. Thanks to those who sing near me for putting up with my sometimes (most times) off-key renditions of songs! |
