My birthday is June 18th, 1957.

I'm married to Jeff.  We met at church as seniors in college.  He was my Sunday School teacher.  I was his minister of music.  We have been married since 1979.

My daughter Beth was born in 1985.

I am a teacher at Ridgeview Charter School/Fulton County, and Minister of Music at Parkway Baptist Church.

In the past, I have also worked as Apprentice Choir Coordinator for Houston (Texas) Children's Chorus, and as Assistant Professor of Music Education at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

I graduated from Meredith College (BM), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (MCM), and Louisiana State University (Ph.D.).

In my leisure time, I jog, watch the news, and walk the dog.

I was born in Wilmington, NC, and grew up in Waycross, GA; Richmond, VA; and Rocky Mount, NC.

My sister Janet is 3 years younger, and my brother Kevin is 8 1/2 years younger.

I've lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Texas and Louisiana.

Interesting places I've visited include Vienna, Austria; Italy; Hawaii (Hawaii, Oahu, Maui); and Alaska.  I'd like to visit Australia some day.

I'm an Atlanta import, and moved here as a result of Jeff's employment with Coca-Cola.  I've lived in Georgia since 1997.

My father was a railroad executive.  Mother was a church music director and private piano teacher.

I accepted Christ in Rocky Mount, NC, at a church-sponsored G.A. camp at age nine.

Memorable events include being baptized at Edgemont Baptist Church in Rocky Mount in 1966; Jeff asking me to marry him in 1978; Beth being born in 1985; College graduations in 1979, 1981, and 1988; Grandparents dying in 1996 and 2001; and Mother dying in 2007.

My favorite music artists include the Beach Boys and the Moses Hogan Chorale.

My favorite actors and actresses are Charlton Heston, Harrison Ford, Susan Hayward, and John Wayne.

My favorite movies and TV shows: Raiders of the Lost Ark, In Harm's Way, 24

My favorite TV show theme: Mission Impossible

Our dog is named "Samantha."  She is white with black freckles, black ears, and one black patch over an eye.  She became a member of our family in May 2004, when she was approximately 4 months old.

I don't remember how old I was when I first got involved in church music.  I was probably too young to remember.

I would like to learn to play any percussion instrument.

My voicepart is Soprano II.

My favorite Baptist hymnal (choosing from 1956, 1975 & 1991) is 1991.

My favorite hymns are Be Strong in the Lord; Lord, Here Am I; He Keeps Me Singing; and Worthy of Worship.
