I originally married in 1982 to a young girl who attended one of
our fellow south Jackson schools (Wingfield), but that marriage ended in
divorce after 32 years in 2015. We had one son in 1986 who went on to attend
USM and he became a quite successful freelance artist / illustrator working
with magazines across the globe. His name is Kyle Hilton. |

I spent my life working in different fields since I didn’t go to
college straight from high school. I spent 10 years with the Jackson Fire
Department. I spent over 25 years working in construction as trim carpenter
and later home builder. I constantly sought a higher education even at the
expense of self-education in topics of psychology, neuroscience and anything
associated with the mind. It led me to finally attend a structured college
late in life, a school of Hypnotherapy. I focused mostly in Sports Hypnosis. |

My two highest achievements were when I self-published a book
sharing the story of watching my talented son Kyle’s mindset develop in
front of me as he became that successful artist… I entitled that book “As
A Boy Thinketh”. And the other of my highest achievements was convincing
a young professional athlete to add the knowledge of how the mindset in the
game of baseball could improve his game. He allowed me to work with
him for two years, after he had already spent years in both the US and Mexico
Professional Double AA Leagues. He went on to become one of Mexico's
top favorite players and recently retired from the game but not before becoming
an Olympian at the 2020 Tokyo Games. Jonathan Jones.
