My husband, Ted, is the principal of Germantown High School in
Gluckstadt and has just been named Mississippi's Principal Of The Year.
We were married in 1982. Our children are doing well. John
was born in 1983. He's almost 30 (in 2013) and lives in Jackson. He
is an aspiring chef and works at Ajou restaurant in Madison and does catering,
as well. Joshua was born in 1987. He and his wife, Lydia, were
married in 2009 and live in Racine, Wisconsin and are expecting our first
grand baby, a girl, in November (2013). He is the worship director
in a church there. Our daughter, Kate, was born in 1988. She
and her husband, Chris, were married in 2010, and they live in Houston, Texas
where she is a personal trainer (owns her own business) and he works for
Exxon. Joshua is 26 and Kate will be 25 in August (2013).

I retired from Hinds Community College last summer (2012). I
am an educational consultant with the Bailey-Kirkland Group. I travel
to schools around the state and help with math teachers and students in
areas that need to be improved to raise test scores. We are working
to implement the new common core state standards for Mississippi. I
also conduct ACT success workshops both in groups for my company and for
individual students.

I am still active in my church teaching Bible studies and
working with Women's Ministry. We love to travel to see our kids.
We have to!
